This module will cover the maturity of BIM within your workplace. How do we transition from 2D CAD to 3D model?
Learn about BIM and key terms of BIM
The 4.0 revolution ( digitalisation) is transforming the AEC industry workflows, methods, processes and tools. BIM in the base and center of this transformation. What advantages and benefits does the adoption of BIM brings to the industry, and to its professionals? Why and How does it constitutes an improvement to how all AEC professionals have worked for years? Take a quick overview of overall benefits of BIM implementation, and digitalisation in general, for the AEC industry.
What are BIM Dimensions? You probably already heard about BIM levels or stages, but what about these Dimensions? Learn how many are there; what do they mean and how they apply into your role and workflow. From 2D to 7D, we will cover them all.
Short Module covers BIM Principles-Understand the context and essentials of BIM
Explains what BM, helping you understand:
what involves
why/ how it encompasses the all construction supply chain and built asset/ project lifecycle.
BIM as part of a wider revolution- digitalisation of the AEC industry
BIM drivers
BIM key terms & definitions
thisis a test run
Micro training aimed to exhibit how a building’s heating& ventilation system can consume high levels of energy, or how the correct choices can help save this energy outputs.
Micro
training aimed to show how a building’s fabric can generate high levels of
energy output. Focusing on aspects such as: U-values; Thermal transmittance,
Insulation; Materials and Thermal conductivity, cold bridging. In the end learners
will be able to: Outline impact of different materials on energy performance in
buildings; and Illustrate how adequate insulation can mitigate against losses.
Learners will be able to explain: heat transfer process; Energy Units; Energy Principles of Building;
Take and assess an overview of climate change and EU Policy..
Explain
key terms related to energy use in buildings
Explain energy use in buildings
Part of
understanding: how to analyse and evaluate use of BIM within the construction
and design industry; and technological requirements for BIM implementation and
security. Learners will be able to: Evaluate
BIM Hardware & Software; Summarise key technology requirements to
enable BIM implementation.
BIM stage 2 compliant has become the ‘accepted’ criteria to be deemed BIM-compliant. It’s based and defined by on a set of concepts and standards, that determine the requirements to be achieved or supplied; one of them is the Delivery Team’s Mobilization Plan, formerly known as PIP.
This is a fundamental knowledge for anyone who wants to be awarded a project in BIM level/stage2. All appointed teams should be aware of what these must entail, in order to know what and how to deliver their projects.
This micro training will present a quick look at a BIM level/Stage2 delivery requirement – the Delivery Team’s Mobilization Plan, formerly known as PIP. Providing an overview and summarised explanation, focused on the perspective of operating in BIM stage 2, and continuing to provide an initial understanding of the application and standards of BIM (in accordance to ISO 19650).
For the ones
that already know, about EIRs it’s a change to test, prove and record your
knowledge. BIMcert is also about recognising pre acquired knowledge. This is part of the overall basic knowledge of
BIM Principles.

BIM Level (stage) 2 compliant’ has become the ‘accepted’ criteria to be deemed BIM-compliant. It’s based and defined by on a set of concepts and standards, that determine the requirements to be achieved or supplied in the BIM process at this stage; one of them is the BEP. knowing what this is, is a fundamental knowledge for anyone who wants to be awarded a project in BIM level/stage2. All appointed teams should be aware of what these must entail, in order to know what and how to deliver their projects.

continuing to provide an initial understanding of the application and standards
of BIM ( in accordance to ISO 19650). In the end of this this short training,
learners will understand and be able explain the BEP. For the ones

Part of a set related to build up essential skills related for AEC workers to Low Energy Building Construction. Learners can take it as a standalone; however, it is also part of a wider pathway for completion of a training plan Intro to Low Energy Building Construction
It is an introduction to these principles, specifically in system thinking, because BIM as a tool towards energy efficiency, needs to be integrated, applied in context, with the correct mind set to achieve required results. This training will enable the learner to develop a fundamental understanding of key concepts of Low Energy Building Construction, than should be applied when using BIM as a digital enabling tool/method to help AEC industry and professional in several roles to reduce energy losses, in a holistic full lifecycle approach.

BIM level/stage2 is more and more the criteria and goal required to be considered BIM-compliant. This milestone is an important one-adoption process taken by industry towards digitalisation, including BIM adoption and implementation. What does this entail? How does What are the impacts to Project delivery. The training gives an introductory overview on this.
It will also start to provide initial Understanding of the application and standards of BIM, as this apply to the BIM level 2 context.
Notes:
The AEC is becoming more digital, and BIM is an integral part of this transformation. It permeates the all process and as such digital skills and devices are now a fundamental and offer powerful assistance in improving several aspects of the Industry.
This training is part of a set of training related to build up these essential digital skills for AEC workers. Learners can take it as a standalone, however it’s also part of a wider pathway for completion of a training plan called BIM Principles.
The training will enable learners to understand the context and essentials of BIM in terms of the Standards and guidance. It is a general and brief overview. For more further and deeper details compliment with the BIM and Digitalisation Benefits additional training sets.
As AEC industry advances more toward digitalisation and to be BIM level/Stage 2 compliant, understanding how to use digital skills and devices to access digital information becomes essential and mandatory, especially regarding the correct usage of the Common Data Environment (CDE). Learners will understand basic principles of using digital skills and devices to access digital information, in the Common Data Environment (CDE)- the essential place where information is stored in a BIM project .By the end, learners will:
